In 1963 Venicio Bovo gets started with his working activity at Master Lorenzo Burchiellaro’s artistic workshop, where he gets his very first approaches with the artistic-handcrafted working techniques of the metals, in particular of brass copper and silver.
Several years later, he gets hired at a small workshop in the downtown of Padua. In those years, the whole Country is improving and strengthening its economic sources and, as a result, this workshop gets so much orders and new works that the owners decide to move to Longarone (BL).
The firm, named “Atelier des Orfevres” that can count on several research workshops, school of design, goldsmith areas, fire glazing and silverware deeply shapes Venicio Bovo’s personality and competence; he’s, then, the chief of silver ward, but he’s very able to work also in the other areas, in line with the firm’s needs.
As the Belluno experience ends, in 1975 he decides with some colleagues of him to get started with a company in Padua named “13 Karati”, but, afterwards, he starts up a company on his own, with his wife Marisa Barbato, in line with his artistic taste and experience.
So, in 1977 Venicio Bovo establishes an artistic workshop that produces a manufacture of great value thanks to beautiful artisan school techniques (Master Mario Pinton): original and creative objects for the house, the furnishing, the sacred, golden and silver jewels, etc. In his working team there is his wife Marisa and his son Enrico, who decides in 2001 to join his workshop after university and various working experiences.
He attends, between 1980 and 1990, many artistic-handicraft exhibitions both in Italy and abroad, cooperating with ICE, as well: Lodi, Firenze, Padua (1988); Paris, Bruxelles (1989); Lisbona, Madrid, Rome (World Football Championship in 1990); London (1991); New York (Twin Towers), Johannesburg (1992); Canada, Germany, Jedda S. A. (1994).
Along the years Master Bovo has created many objects for art exhibitions, often collaborating with sculptors, Venetian glass-workers and designers, always looking for new and original shapes. Some of these creations have become part of famous people’s private collections.
